The Venezuela Crisis arose over claims by foreign nationals because of injuries during revolutionary disturbances. Britain, Germany, and Italy instituted a blockade, and pressure by the United States forced the powers to accept the arbitration of the International Court of Justice at The Hague, which ruled in favor of the powers. | 1 |
