The first Greek bands appeared in central Macedonia, aided by a society in Athens and, secretly, by the Greek government. These bands added to continued skirmishes between pro-Serb and pro-Bulgarian rebels to hinder efforts at a customs union between Bulgaria and Serbia. | 1 |
