Privatization: a new national economic strategy took shape as the government introduced measures on price deregulation, denationalization, and privatization. The first round of “large” privatization started in May 1992 with the voucher system, in which holders of vouchers were able to apply for shares in the privatizing companies.	1

Slovak sovereignty and the split of Czechoslovakia: the Slovak National Party put forward a motion for Slovakian sovereignty but failed to gain majority support.	3
