The Universal Catechism, after nine drafts, was finally completed. Such new sins as terrorism and offenses against ecology were condemned, but the most significant changes were that the term “grave” sin replaced “mortal” sin and that an attempt was made to understand the psychological factors that could lead to sexual sins.  1
