Promulgation of a new constitution. A bicameral legislature was established, consisting of an elected lower house and royally appointed upper house. All executive powers were vested in the king, who also had the right to veto all legislation. Several clauses guaranteed the social and legal position of Islam and the religious establishment. | 2 |
