Inauguration of Pres. Balaguer, who now took drastic action against leftist elements, including Bosch's Dominican Revolutionary Party. Balaguer continued promoting foreign investment in the republic, advertising the country as a low-wage haven for American and other investors. Little was done to ensure decent wages, and many poorer Dominicans began migrating to the U.S.  3
