Agreement between West Germany and East Germany allowing West Berliners to visit their relatives in East Berlin at four specified times of the year. Before long, these times were restricted to Christmas and New Year's, and presently the agreement became an additional bone of contention between the two Germanies.  5

Negotiations held within the Common Market in an effort to establish an acceptable price for grain finally led to an agreement on a low price to meet French requirements; this involved government subsidies for the West German farmers.  6
