Assassination of Todor Alexandrov, the result of infighting among Macedonian nationalists. The conflict was between federalists, who wanted an autonomous Macedonia in Balkan federation, and centralists, who wanted annexation with Bulgaria. Their continuing internecine warfare contributed to the instability in Bulgaria.  2
