Magnus VII, who was also king of Sweden.  1

In 1343 he turned over Norway to his son. Haakon VI, who was married (1363) to Margaret of Denmark.  2
 
1380–87
 
Olaf, the son of Haakon and Margaret, already king of Denmark, succeeded to the throne. His death ended the Norwegian line.  3
 
1387–1412
 
MARGARET, mother of Olaf, was elected to the throne, thus introducing into Norway the system of election already in practice in Denmark and Sweden. (See Scandinavia)  4
