Meeting at Hagenau in Germany of King Philip of Swabia, Boniface, and Alexius, son of the dethroned Byzantine emperor Isaac II Angelus. Diversion of the crusade to Constantinople to reinstate the deposed emperor was almost certainly discussed; Irene, Philip's wife and Alexius's sister, said that she would support her father's cause.  1
