Jordan's king Hussein met with Egyptian president Hosui Mubarak and Palestinian leader Yasir Arafat in Cairo, Egypt, to discuss unilateral boundary changes in the Middle East.  2

Jordan's king Hussein was invited to Camp David in Maryland to discuss peace issues and intervene in the talks between Israel and the Palestinian National Authority that had been unraveling during the previous week. Hussein helped Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and PNA president Yasir Arafat to complete the signing of the Wye Memorandum, an accord aimed at establishing compromises between the PNA and Israel.  3
