Chancellor Raab arrived in Moscow to discuss Soviet proposals for a treaty, and he agreed on terms (April 15) calling for the withdrawal of all occupation forces from Austria by Dec. 31.  1
 
May 15
 
After a fortnight of negotiations, a peace treaty with Austria was agreed on by the four-power Foreign Ministers Conference in Vienna.  2
 
July 27
 
AUSTRIA FORMALLY REGAINED ITS SOVEREIGNTY, and the Allied Council for Austria held its final meeting in Vienna. Austria pledged neutrality. Western and Soviet occupation forces were withdrawn.  3
