The gunboat Zhongshan, commanded by a Communist, was seen near Jiang Jieshi's headquarters. On the pretext that he was to be kidnapped, Jiang arrested the crew and 30 Soviet advisers in the city of Guangzhou. He and Borodin later (April) worked out an arrangement. | 1 |
