Under the reign of King Chijng, Silla experienced advances in agricultural technology, rice production, and irrigation.  1

King Pphng's reign saw Silla became a fully centralized autocracy. In 520 he issued an administrative code with Chinese-style bureaucratic titles, and he instituted the “bone-rank”> (kolp'um) system.  2

Silla officially adopted Buddhism by this time. The last of the Three Korean Kingdoms to do so, Silla now began to develop rapidly at the expense of Japanese influence on the peninsula. (See Korea, 540–918)  3
